Note: This text is a large two-volume seventeenth century treatise aimed at attacking the Pope and the Roman Church. The text was written by the French scholar and Protestant, Pierre Jurieu, after his education in England and the Netherlands. Jurieu attacks both the sinfulness of the Roman Curia as well as the theological differences between the two churches. Jurieu draws extensively from Scripture throughout this work.
